Jorge Luna's journey into Yoga began as a parallel pursuit while carving out a career in international relations and law. His dedication and passion for fitness, coupled with his commitment to continuous learning and growth, led him to receive his first certifications in Group Exercise and Spinning. His thirst for knowledge and advancement in the fitness industry further led him to acquire certifications to teach Pilates, Rowing and Yoga.
By 2004, Jorge’s landscape had evolved completely. He made a significant career shift, leaving his legal practice to focus on health. This led him to become a wellness and fitness coach/professional. His interest in healing became his central focus. He received his 200-hour Yoga teaching certification from Yogaworks and then began deepening his studies in all areas of Yoga and Yoga therapy. Jorge completed a two-year certification in Yoga Therapy from Loyola Marymount University in August of 2010. In 2013, Jorge became a 500-hour certified teacher in the Krishnamcharya lineage. Jorge furthered his studies in this tradition, receiving his Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through Yoga as Therapy North America (YATNA) in 2014, led by Chase Bossart, Dolphi Wertenbaker and Amy Wheeler.
Jorge’s career matured into a management position at Equinox. He oversees group fitness at Equinox Sports Club in West Los Angeles. He also maintains a private Yoga therapy practice with clients and mentees worldwide, helping them improve their health, work on personal development, and clarify their spiritual direction.
